Pay Day is Coming!

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. ” Gen. 8:22

The law of seedtime and harvest was set in motion at the beginning of time, and will remain in motion while the earth remains. This is a natural and spiritual law. Whether a seed is planted in the natural or in the spirit, the seed must be given time to grow and develop before a harvest can be seen.

I recall my first job, I was a teenager, and I had just received my work permit. Though I had to rise pretty early in the morning to report to work by 8:30am, I was very excited about it. This particular job had a dress code, so I had to take the time to pick out what I would wear the night before. I even took the time to get my hair done for my first day of work. I met a lot of new people and the time just seemed to fly by those first few days. By the fourth day, however, the enthusiasm had all but worn off. I no longer felt excited about getting out of bed at 6:00 am to go to work, and it seemed as if I had run out of outfits to wear. Part of the initial excitement about the job was the fact that I knew I would b getting a paycheck in two weeks. Had I decided to quit that job after four days, my paycheck would have been substantially less than it would have been for working the full two weeks. By going to work every day, I was planting seed towards the harvest of my paycheck in two weeks. I could not forget about the little element that stood between the seed of going to work and the harvest of the paycheck --- time.

“ Many believers have planted seed in various areas of their lives and are waiting expectantly for a harvest. I want to encourage you through the words in this article not to give up, because your payday is coming! ”Hebrews 6:18-19 (AMP)

This passage of Scripture tells us that God Cannot lie. If He said it in His Word, then it is part of the contract and we can count on it to come to pass. That means that if you obey God by planting seed as He instructs you to and then give it time, your payday is coming. The Word of God is the one thing in life that you can count on to never let you down. The Word of God is secure; it can be trusted to bring to pass what is promised.

What TO Do While You Wait

  1. Count It All Joy James 1:2-4

Another word for joy is delight. There is a difference between joy and happiness. Happiness is based on your circumstances, what happens to you or around you. Joy comes from the inside and is based on your delight in the Lord, who is the Source of every payday. When you delight in the Lord you can count it all you no matter what the situation looks like.

  2. Get Your Praise On! Psalm 9:1-4

It is easy to get discouraged when you know that you have done all that you know to do and your payday still seems nowhere in sight. When you have prayed and prayed for your unsaved loved ones and see no change, you can feel tempted to give up. In those times when you feel discouraged and alone, remember that God is there. Praise is like anesthesia; it numbs the hurt and pain that circumstances and situations can cause. When you praise, your focus is no longer on the problem, or what you seemingly don't have; but on the Greater one who lives in you, who is omniscient, omnipresent, powerful, holy, righteous, worthy to be praised, and more than enough!

  3. Trust In The Lord Proverbs 3:5

Patience and trust go hand in hand. It is difficult to be patient if you don't trust God. If you know you have obeyed God's instruction, whether it was to sow a particular financial seed, or to take a particular job, or to end a particular relationship, then trusting Him means you can rest and be patient in your decision because you know that your obedience will result in blessing. You may even feel you missed your payday, but if you trust God, you can be confident He will do exceedingly, abundantly above what you can ask or think, and what you receive will be even better than what you thought you missed. This is trust and patience in action. Continue to speak the Word with patience, trusting God for the manifestation.

  4. Rest & Relax Hebrews 4:11-12

Once you have decided to operate in patience and trust, you can rest. Once you have sown your seed in obedience and you have made the decision to wait on God's timing for manifestation, you can relax. The anointing of God is a sweatless anointing. The biggest gift that God has given to us is eternal life through His Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We did not have to work for that gift; we simply had to receive it. If this act of resting and receiving by faith secured your place in heaven, then it can also get you to your payday.

What You NEED to Know in Your Seedtime

God is Suddenly God! Acts 16:25–26

What you need to know is that your God is suddenly God! One moment things can be one way, and the next moment they have completely changed! You may not be experiencing your payday at this moment, but that can change. Your harvest will come suddenly! You do not need to worry if you are still in your season of waiting. Make every effort to enjoy yourself while you wait. A season is temporal, and the end of it is always better than the beginning. Paul and Silas made the choice to praise God in spite of their circumstance, and they experienced a sudden move of God. Their circumstance changed in and instant and the same can be true for you!

God Is Faithful! Mark 4:26–32

The law of seedtime and harvest still remains. Once a seed is planted, you need not question whether or not a harvest will manifest, because God is faithful to keep His Word

Expect your payday to come and expect it to be beyond your wildest dreams! Do your part---stay rooted and grounded in the Word of God, plant seed as you are led by the Holy Spirit to do so, be diligent and obedient at all costs, and patiently trust God to move on your behalf. As you do these things, you can rejoice because you know that your payday is coming! Don't wait until your payday comes to celebrate; celebrate now! Rejoice in the promises of God by faith, knowing that God will keep His word to you.
